FAQS
TERMS & CONDITIONS
WHAT ARE THE MAIN COLOURS THAT FADE OR CHANGE DRAMATICALLY DURING THE PROCESS?
Red - will get darker than original colour, almost black/dark purple. (This can be colour corrected, fees apply)

White - will develop into a more off-white, creamy colour, sometimes a yellow tone (even with colour correction, they will not be a bright white).

Water based flowers - e.g gladiolus, tulips, hyacinth can turn translucent, however can be dried.

We cannot preserve succulents due to their moisture retention

Orchids + Lilies - preserve paper thin, however can be used as a softer feature within your final piece.

Tropical flowers & some greenery may not survive the drying process or may turn a brown colour (colour correction can be used here, fees apply).

When flowers are bruised this causes translucent spots in your florals - we endeavour to select your best flowers, but can only preserve them in the condition they're received. A colour correction service can also be selected.
WHEN SHOULD I MAKE MY RESERVATION?
The sooner the better!
Please book in advance especially if your wedding/event is in peak season months!
It is best to contact us via our contact page or socials if you have decided last minute to preserve your bouquet. We are able to accomodate most last minute requests, however it now depends on the condition of your blooms.
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY LEFTOVER FLOWERS?
We select the BEST blooms to dry for your keepsakes. We often dry more than we need in case we aren't completely satisfied with the end result. This allows us to be able to perfect your piece. Your extra blooms will not be returned to you. Extra drying fees apply if you want them all dried and returned.
HOW LONG WILL MY KEEPSAKE LAST?
Resin is strong, beautiful and will last for many years to come. The lasting memory captured by your keepsake will look the same as the day it is preserved, HOWEVER resin will eventually yellow over time, this cannot be helped, it's just the nature of the chemical reaction. Some colours may fade or brown overtime, this is somewhat prevented by the extra drying time to ensure your blooms are fully dried.
Tips to increase the longevity of your artwork:
-
Keep out of perpetual direct sunlight
-
Please don’t store in high temperatures, these can cause the resin to yellow
-
Dust with a dry microfibre cloth - avoid harsh detergents or cleaning products.
MY EVENT HAS ALREADY PASSED, CAN YOU STILL MAKE A KEEPSAKE FOR ME?
If your wedding or memorial event has recently taken place and your flowers are still in good condition, it is always worth sending us an email to see if we can arrange your last minute booking. Please note that we will do our best to accommodate last minute bookings but it is not always possible due to the quality of your flowers, but lets chat!
CAN I UPDATE OR CHANGE A PACKAGE?
Yes of course! Providing we have enough of your blooms to do so. Simply email us to confirm we have enough flowers for your added pieces and place another order. If we don't have your flowers yet, just go ahead and place and additional order and we will put them together.
WHAT IF MY FLOWERS ARE STARTING TO WILT ALREADY?
We recommend sending your fresh flowers to us within 3 days of the event for best results, but depending on the flower type and condition we will consider up to 5 days old. Please email us a photo and we can give you our recommendation. If we feel your flowers are no longer suitable we may offer you a bouquet replica, whereas we source similar fresh flowers for you. (extra charges apply).
HOW WILL I GET MY FLOWERS TO YOU?
Once you place your order we will provide you with some instructions on how to get your flowers to us safely after your email confirmation.
There are a few options, either yourself or a family member or wedding planner can deliver your blooms to our studio in Coopers Plains or you can post them to us.
Our third option is to have your flowers collected from your location (additional. fees apply and is depending on location and availability).
WHEN IS FULL PAYMENT DUE AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
A $200 down payment is required at the time of all flower preservation bookings You will need to add the "pre event deposit" product to the cart to secure your date for advanced bookings, the date selected will be the date you intend to drop off your flowers. (this is important so you don't miss out). Once we get closer to your secured date we reach out to remind you to select and pay for your products if you haven't already done so. No resin is poured until full payment has been received. You will then be a seperate invoice once you have chosen your preferred keepsake shapes. Once your items are ready, we will organise a pick up time or postage. If you have booked a last minute entry, we will send you straight through to the checkout.
DOES THE SASSY PETAL DELIVER NATIONALLY?
We send Australia Wide!
As far as Sendle will take us!
CAN I PURCHASE A GIFT VOUCHER?
These are available on our
'GIFT CARD" page. It's the perfect gift for a new bride and groom, new baby or Childs room from a significant birthday or to capture the memory of a loved one.
WHAT IS COLOUR CORRECTION?
Colour correction is an art form, we are florists not painters. I can always give it a go however it does give a "fake" two dimensional feel to your flower.

In my eyes.. let it your flowers be themselves!!
WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY KEEPSAKES TO BE READY?
Due to the unpredictable nature of resin art, we cannot guarantee when your order will be finished. At a minimum, you can expect your order to take between 4-6 months depending on the size, quanitity and complexity of your pieces. We will always update you when your order reaches the next stage of development.
If you would like an update on your order, you are more than welcome to email us any time after 12 weeks (this is the amount of time it takes us to dry your flowers, design and begin casting your order). Be sure to follow us on Instagram, as this is where we post all our updates!
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN IMPERFECTIONS OCCUR
Everything we create is handmade by humans. We do not mass produce our products, or use machines to create them. While we take the utmost care in making your pieces, the nature of resin art is very unpredictable. It is not unreasonable to expect to see layer lines (where each layer of resin has been poured), air bubbles, loose particles, slightly uneven edges, petal transparency and changed flower colour in your pieces (although we try to minimise most of these to the best of our ability!)

SHADOW FRAMES will expose air to flowers, and flower colour will change dramatically due to this. They are also more susceptible to bugs and mould- if you purchase a shadow frame, you do so knowing this is likely to occur (as stated on the website listing). We try our very best to prevent this by spraying a light clear acrylic gloss over your blooms to seal them.

We cannot guarantee that your Flowers will retain their original condition including colour, shape, size or arrangement as they are subject to minor imperfections and changes due to the processes of natural dehydration and preservation;
Fading and Debris - before and after the Flowers have been delivered, the Flowers may drop debris and eventually fade over time.
All orders are custom items therefore I do not offer refunds of any kind. It should be fully understood before proceeding with your order that color changes, imperfections, bubbles, or textures of your flowers will be different and all are completely normal when it comes to flower preservation as set out and stated in the FAQs & and Terms and Conditions.
Like any natural product, care is needed to ensure the durability of the flowers. Many factors will play a major role in how long your flowers will last such as the amount of sunlight, humidity, and heat that the frame is exposed to. These factors will determine its lifespan.

Environment and Climate Factors - Flowers that are subject to seasonal changes, climate and other environmental factors that increase the risk of your Flowers becoming discoloured, damaged, and/or diseased, which may arise at any time during shipping, preserving, delivery and/or once the Order is delivered; and temperature and storage to mitigate any of the above risks and ensure the longevity of your preserved Flowers, you must store the frame in a cool and dry location away from excess UV light and moisture, particularly if you reside in a high risk flood zone or otherwise humid environment.
We will not take responsibility for ay of the above occurrences, we cannot control the weather or the environment in which any of our pieces are presented once delivered.

By ticking a box, paying for or otherwise accepting the benefit of any part of the Services or Products, you acknowledge and agree that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms which forms a binding contractual agreement with us.

WILL MY FINAL PIECE LOOK EXACTLY LIKE MY BOUQUET?
The preservation process is a combination of a unique design and a special science. Your flowers will go through a transformation process that will remind you of the memories of the day. Our staff pride themselves on their floral design abilities using texture and form, creating you the best design for your desired piece. We will send a proof to approve before we start pouring the resin. Resin is permanent, we will not move forward without your written consent. If you want a replica of your bouquet and do NOT want to give us creative freedom, please send us a photo and we will try our best to recreate it. If we think you might need to upgrade your piece to fit it in, we will discuss this with you.
WHAT IF I WANT TO PRESERVE A REPLICA OF MY FLOWERS?
Sometimes we decide a little later that we wanted to preserve our moment, but just didn't quiet get there at the time.

Because we are also amazing Florists, we can organise to purchase your flowers fresh from the market (fees apply) and design a replica of your flowers.
You will need a customised order for this and will need to email us to organise this.
