We LOVE creative people!
If you think you can create your own keepsake this is the kit for you (we can always rescue you!).
This one is for beginners, it's not a deep pour, both moulds will usually only need 2 pours each to complete.
Step by Step Instructions are provided within the kit, however here is a basic run down to get you excited.
Each Kit Contains -
1 x 200ml Artist Resin kit (1 x 100ml Part A Eposy Resin + 100ml Part B Hardner)
2 x Round Coaster Moulds
1 x Trinket Tray Mould
3 x Alcohol ink pigments
1 x 500g Silica sand for drying flowers
2 x Pair Latex gloves
Stirrers, measuring cups & pippettes (to help eliminate bubbles).
Step 1: Saftey gear must be worn throughout process! Mask, Gloves and safety glasses.
Step 2: Fill your air tight container with a small amount of silica sand, enough to sit your flower head into. Cut the stem off your blooms and nuzzle the bottom of the flower into the sand. Cover comepletely and allow to dry for 2-3 weeks.
Step 3: Uncover your blooms, check they are dry all the way through, be careful they will be delecate.
Step 4: Pop your dried blooms into a flower press or between some baking paper and two heavy items to help flatten them slowly.
Step 5: Once flowers have been flattened and trimmed to the desired shape and size, pop them aside and mix your resin.
Step 6: Pour a small amount of resin into the mould so it fills the bottom slightly, sit your flowers into the resin creating your design.
Note: do this seperately on a piece of paper so that you dont put silica sand everywhere as it does show up in your finished piece.
Step 7: Pop bubbles with pippete or a toothpick or if you have a heat gun or flame handy use that slightly waving it over the top.
Step 8: Leave the dry somewhere covered so no dust can get in.
Step 9: Once cured repeat the mixing step and fill the mould the rest of the way. Again leave to cure over night or until hard. Its best not to move it otherwise it will spill out or wrinkle your finished piece if it has already created a skin during the curing process.
Step 10: DEMOULD - WOOHOO!!
Use an exacto knife (stanley knife) to trim off any stray edging.
This is the part where you can step up your game and sand back the pieces and top coat, but hey your a beginner!
